Greater Manchester Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the rape of a young woman in Manchester city centre.
At around 9.20pm on Sunday 16 May 2021, police received a report that an 18-year-old had been raped by two men off Marble Street. An investigation was promptly launched.
DC Kassim, of GMP's City of Manchester district, said:
Quote"This CCTV image was taken in the surrounding area at the time of the incident. It's, therefore, imperative that we speak to this man as part of our enquiries.
"I appeal directly to him or to anyone who can help us identify him to contact us. If you'd prefer to remain anonymous, please contact Crimestoppers.
"Anyone with information should contact police on 0161 856 4409 quoting 2835 16/05/2021 or the independent charity - Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111. "
