At around 3.50pm on Friday 11 March 2022, police received a report of a stabbing on Market Street, Bury.
Emergency services attended and a man was taken to hospital but he was sadly pronounced dead a short while later.
He has since been formally identified as 18-year-old Abdikarim Abdalla Ahmed.
His next-of-kin are continuing to receive support from specialist officers.
Today (14 March) a 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody for questioning.
A 16-year-old boy has previously been charged with murder.
Two teenage boys have been released on bail.
Detective Inspector Danny Lee of GMP's Major Incident Team said:

"Our investigation is continuing at pace and this morning we have made an additional arrest in connection with Abdikarim's death.
"Whilst he remains in custody for questioning we are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information or video footage to come forward and assist us with our investigation."
