A seven mile long queue has formed on the M60 after a crash between junctions 15 and 16 (Swinton Interchange) during the evening rush hour.

Traffic was held by police but is now said to be slowly moving again with all lanes now fully reopened.

However drivers face delays of over 30 minutes as traffic flow returns to normal.

The details surrounding the vehicle collision have not yet been released but we hope that no one has been seriously injured.

If you are heading into the area, try and find an alternative route around.
