Salford Growing Togetherness: volunteering sessions

The allotments and cafe in Buile Hill Park host a community group called Growing Togetherness who have spent the last few years working to create a space where wellbeing, sustainability and support are nurtured and prioritised.

The University's Environmental Sustainability Team and Growing Togetherness have worked together to organise a series of volunteering sessions which will aim to provide you - our students, staff and local community - an opportunity to get some gardening experience while improving your wellbeing, getting to know our local natural environment, and spending time with the community.

During the session you will have a chance to get involved in community garden maintenance, and we will also gather some willow and create a natural fence for the Community Growing Space on campus.

Free lunch and hot drinks will be provided. Please specify your dietary requirements on the booking form.

The sessions will run 13:00-16:00 but please feel free to join only for as long as you want.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy, waterproof footware.

If you have any questions, please email Marta at m.a.strzelecka1@salford.ac.uk

We're meeting at the Friends of Buile Hill Park Pavillion, at the bottom of Buile Hill Park.

Keep an eye out for the green fence:
