The UK Met Office has put out two yellow weather warnings for the region from this evening as Storm Ellen washes in from across the Atlantic.

Winds will start to pickup this evening as the belt of stormy weather pushes up across the country, with a further band of heavy gusty rain progressing northeast across the area overnight.

It will turn drier and clearer though by dawn but this dry sunny spell will be short lived as it turns to strong winds and heavy blustery showers into and during Friday.

As a result in the change of weather, temperatures will drop in comparison to what we have seen over the past few weeks, the Maximum for Friday will be 21C

After scorching temperatures and humid nights we are to see a distinct change in the weather in the coming week.

It is possible that strong winds may cause structural damage and heavy rain may produce localised flooding in some low lying areas.
