The UK Met Office has issued a danger to life warning as two storms are set to batter swathes of the UK later this week with the North of the country expected to take the brunt.
An update by the Met Office this morning, now puts the Greater Manchester region within the zone worst affected.
On Wednesday at around 3pm, storm Dudley is expected to arrive in Northern England where Amber and Yellow warnings have been issued as gusts of up to 90mph are expected along with rain, hail or even snow on higher ground.
This will be directly followed by Storm Eunice which will see a Yellow Alert cover much of the North until around 9pm on Friday when things are expected to calm once more.
Western parts of Scotland will bear the brunt of the wintery weather but Salford and Greater Manchester will see their fair share of wind and rain, as the Met Office has now included the region within the area worst affected.
As with any stormy weather, there is a small chance that flying debris will result in a danger to life, with fallen trees, damage to buildings and homes, roofs blown off and power lines brought down.
When driving, ensure to slow down on high or exposed roads.
