The yellow warning will be in effect from 9am tomorrow (August 2nd) and is projected to last until approximately 7pm as the run of wet and windy weather continues to dampen Salford's summer.
The UK Met Office is predicting heavy rain and thundery weather across the Greater Manchester region including Salford, so our advise would be to take a Brolly with you and put a coat on, if you are heading out to the shops.
Forecasters are asking drivers to take heed of expected deteriorating driving conditions, which are likely to be affected by the heavy rain throughout the day.
There could be disruption and delays to public transport so commuters are being advised to factor this into their journeys.
Sadly, the country as a whole is expected to continue to have a mixed bag of weather for the foreseeable future but there will be a few sunny spells.
Tonight:
A drier end to the day for many, but still a chance of showers. Showery rain spreading northwards overnight, turning heavy in the south later. Strengthening easterly winds. Minimum temperature 12 °C.
Wednesday:
A very wet morning for most with heavy and persistent rain. More showery by the afternoon with some drier and brighter interludes developing. Windy and feeling cool for early August. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
