The UK Met Office has issued a thunderstorm warning for large parts of England and Wales which includes Salford and Greater Manchester.
After the gorgeous spell of weather we have enjoyed over the Queens Platinum Jubilee, it looks as if it could end with a wild display of natures fireworks on Sunday as thunderstorms loom on the horizon.
A yellow warning has been issued for the region and comes into effect from 12am on Sunday June 5th. The good news for Irlam Livers is that the risk of storms should have passed by 6pm, just in time for the main acts to take to the stage, so be sure to bring a brolly just in case.
Even if the weather does take a turn for the worst, Salfordians will not let it spoil the long bank holiday fun as they celebrate the Queens 70th year upon the throne.
Let it be known that we are wiling to throw our very own Tony Flynn into a volcano to appease the weather Gods if needed. Even if it's a mild drizzle.

It will be cloudy in some eastern areas very first thing, clearing to become a dry and fine day for all areas. Feeling warm in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
Tonight:
Dry and fine in the evening but turning cooler under the clear skies. A risk of showers for southern areas overnight. Minimum temperature 6 °C.
Sunday:
A cloudier and cooler day than Saturday, with a risk of showers across some areas. Some early sunshine is possible across more Northern areas. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
