The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of possible hail, sleet, snow and ice over effective from 3pm and running into tomorrow Wednesday 12th Feb, aklthough, the heavy snow is most likely to fall upon higher ground.

More low lying areas will most likely see more sleet than the white fluffy stuff.

There are also strong gusts of wind expected across the region throughout the day so if out in a high sided vehicle take car.

Barton Fly-Over bridge currently has speed restrictions in place and roads are expected to become increasingly treacherous as the day goes on.

If you are heading out on foot then beware of slippery surfaces wrap up warm and take a brolly.
