    The Met Office is warning of strong winds as it issues a Yellow Warning for gusts of up to 70mph accompanied by blustery showers in some parts from tomorrow evening (Weds 10th March) as a band of wet and windy weather tracks across the country from the West.

    Travellers on the regions roads are being warned to expect possible delays and drivers of high side vehicles are being advised that they should take care, especially on exposed higher ground and when passing over the M60 motorway bridge at Barton.

    The winds will continue from around 9pm on Wednesday evening up until Midday in Thursday.

    Much of today (Tuesday 9th March) will consist of a ,mainly cloudy day with further spells of patchy light rain.
